As a Teaching School Hub, the priority is to support delivery of the Department for Education's 'Golden Thread' for professional development, to all schools within its designated region. Working closely with local universities and partners offering Initial Teacher Training, the Hub supports delivery of high quality training, ensuring that newly qualified teachers know how to access support from their local Teaching School Hub.
The Hub supports schools to navigate the induction process by following the Early Career Framework. This framework underpins a career long development journey, providing opportunities to study a variety of qualifications from a suite of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). These programmes are focused on enhancing leadership skills or developing skills in a specialist area, such as behaviour or literacy.
The Teaching School Hub will signpost colleagues to high quality, targeted Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, via local Curriculum Hubs and recommended training providers.
The Hub is currently delivering Appropriate Body services to a small number of schools. From September ’23, this service will be offered to all schools across the Hub’s designated region.
Rainbow Teaching School Hub continuously evaluates its service provision, ensuring the needs of teachers and schools across its region are met. Please do contact us should you wish to discuss any specific needs for your school.
Rainbow Teaching School Hub is delighted to be working collaboratively with its partners across the north-west region to deliver on the golden thread of ITT, ECF, CPD and Leadership. Offering expertise and specialisms across all phases and sectors of education, our partners are established reputable providers of developmental training and support.
